Primary Responsibilities
- Perform software systems safety engineering per MIL-STD 882
- Develop safety engineering plans and risk assessments
- Review software architectures and designs for safety compliance
- Participate in Safety Review Boards and Certification Panels
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
|
Education Requirements
- Series 0801 (Engineering):
- ABET-accredited engineering degree OR
- PE license/FE exam completion
- Series 1550 (Computer Science):
- Degree with 30 semester hours in math/CS
- 15 hours in calculus-based mathematics
